Pharmacists

Katy Waddington (f)

Clinical Pharmacist
I live in Preston & went to university in Liverpool where I qualified as a pharmacist in 2011. I started my career as a hospital pharmacist before moving into a busy community pharmacy in the centre of Blackpool. After 3 years I took on a managerial role as the Pharmacist Manager in the Oncology Out Patient Dispensary in Royal Preston Hospital.

I joined the practice in August 2018 & I am looking forward to developing my clinical role further whilst striving to provide an excellent medicine management service for all patients in the practice. I love the sunshine and exploring new places so go camping and holidays abroad whenever possible.

Ruth Scholes (f)

I completed my Pharmacy degree in 2004 at the University of Nottingham and then went on to qualify as a pharmacist following my pre-registration year in Wigan hospital.

I then went on to study for a law degree whilst working in community pharmacy.

I relocated to Scotland in 2009 to work across many GPs surgeries, then returned back home where I worked in Preston and Chorley hospital outpatient departments alongside further work in community pharmacy.

Outside of work I have 3 young children that keep me extremely busy. We spend a lot of time playing football and going on bikes, and myself and my partner like to go on long walks when we get the chance.
