Medical Records Summariser
I have worked as a medical secretary at a surgery in Penwortham and successfully completed the AMSPAR qualification. I had a break from General Practice during which time I worked for the Benefits Agency and then at a local Disability Charity. I returned to General Practice in 2011. I am pleased to be part of this Practice and enjoy working with a professional and positive team of people.
In my spare time I foster cats for the Charity 'Cats Protection', I play drums in a local band, I enjoy traveling, riding my motorbike, gardening and listening to live music.

My name is Sara Dearnaley and I have recently joined the surgeries at both Leyland and Chorley. I am thoroughly enjoying working with a very professional and supportive team, in a very interesting and varied role. All my previous jobs have involved meeting and helping people, which I love to do. I moved to Lancashire in 2003 and love living in this area. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, adult colouring books and spending time with my husband, my nieces and nephews. I regularly enjoy visiting North Wales which is where I grew up and still have family there.
I've been with the practice for 4 years as part of the reception team which has been great. I find I learn things every day and every day is a different challenge. Outside of work I enjoy walking our dog, spending time with my family and doing things with my two daughters. We especially like to go on walks and bike rides finding new places to grab some food along the way.
