Welcome to Leyland Surgery, The Surgery Chorley & Station Surgery

Patients' needs are at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Following our recent takeover of Station Surgery, we would like to assure all our patients that all services in your registered surgery will continue as normal, however you will now have the option of attending either of the three sites should this be easier for you.

1st September 2020

We are currently receiving extremely high numbers of calls. All the team are working extremely hard to get through the calls as efficiently as possible, but please bear with us during this extremely busy period. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

15th September 2020

Thank you for your continued support.

We are continuing to follow NHS Guidance. All appointments are telephone/video consultations first. The clinician will then make the decision to have a face to face appointment with you if necessary.

Please be patient with the receptionist and please await the clinician's decision.

Thank you for all your support and understanding.

COVID – 19 (Coronavirus)

14th September 2020

*Please note that it is not a GPs responsibility to issue school letters of absence for your children. Government guidance is that school attendance is mandatory unless your child is self isolating, has symptoms of COVID-19 or is close to someone who has COVID-19. For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/government/news/schools-and-colleges-to-reopen-in-full-in-september

**Your GP Practice cannot assist you in booking a COVID-19 test and does not provide COVID-19 testing; this can only be done via the national online booking portal or contact NHS 119 by telephone. Your GP Practice cannot advise you on whether or not your child or children are safe to return to school; this should be discussed with the school(s) concerned.

Surgery Update: Firstly we would like to thank all our patients for your support and cooperation during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We realise it is tough for everyone and people want reassurance and normality to resume; however patient and staff safety is paramount. We are working with the ‘new normal’ and hope to enable all the services we usually provide to recommence as soon as it is safe to do so.

We are continuing to follow NHS England and Government guidelines and as you know things can change daily but rest assured we are working with our community services and secondary care to ensure your safety and health is as always our priority.

We will continue to communicate any changes to health services via our Facebook page and our Surgery website.

Thank you again for continuing to support the surgery and the staff!

16th July 2020

Thank you to our patients for your ongoing support and cooperation whilst we work hard to deal with the Coronavirus Pandemic. For the latest information and guidance, please visit https://nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

We are receiving a lot of questions from patients and we hope the information below may be useful.

Face Coverings

From Monday 15th June please help us to comply with new NHS guidance by wearing a face covering when you attend the surgery for an appointment. If you don't yet have a face covering, the GOV.UK website produced a guide on how to make one with items you will have readily available at home. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering/
